I need a photographer for taking print-quality pictures for a book. I have some rather large Native American carved panels on the walls of my BBH home. They are difficult to photograph as they are high up and some are in dark places. They are very colorful and carved in relief. I want to write a small book about them and their origin.
I'll be here in BBH till June 23rd and would love to have someone do this for me while there is good light.

We have the BEST little shops in our village. You really can enjoy your stay without having to venture too far (except to see our fabulous Maine coastline)!

In our small community it is easy to find places to admire the view, watch boats, look out at the ocean… or simply to smell the salt air. It most likely makes us feel lucky to live and work here.

The next time you drive around the area we ask that you take the time to notice something slightly different. Our small businesses and the proprietors who built them, they truly make this town thrive in more ways than one.

As police officers we routinely deal with situations where people are “down on their luck” or perhaps in an unsafe or unhealthy environment. Basic needs can sometimes be an issue. Our businesses (and many individuals) routinely donate, and partner with community resources in the area.

This generosity and caring creates a completely different dynamic for our police department. We are able to work with organizations to help in ways others cannot, and it enables us to bridge many divides.

Although she will be mad at us, today we need to thank “Janson’s” owner Betty Maddocks for (another) recent generous donation to an individual in need. As is true of so many in our community Betty quietly does this and NEVER wants recognition.

We feel it is necessary to thank Janson’s today, but that goes for so many of you who routinely help to ensure all of our neighbors are cared for, including some who occasionally have a difficult time caring for themselves.

Coming soon in Sprucewold! What started as a much-needed garage with living space above has evolved into a year-round 2-bed home with a garage… 😄 Builders are just finishing live-edge siding for what I’m envisioning as a fairytale/woodsy look. We’ll be furnishing and finishing in Sept and it will be available for weekly rentals by foliage season, and for the Xmas Botanical Gardens Aglow!

Love the history! Bob Reny was a friend of my Dad's and he lived across the lake from us (Lake Pemaquid). I must confess that some of my lake friends (and my brother) stole a few apples from his orchard in the early Fall occasionally... Sorry! 😘
