In an area so rich in history I had always hoped to be one of those lucky people to stumble across some hidden/lost artifacts. Well today was the day. Still buzzing! Maybe an old rancher’s cave/campsite from early 19th century when they used to run cattle from Warner Ranch? Or just an abandoned hermit cave?

Sonoran desert toad enjoying a morning shower from the dripline. Typically nocturnal, they spend their days under ground and can live up to 20 years. Their toxin is used as a psychedelic by braver souls than me, and is deadly to pets.

The labrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again. The way in, is the way out, a metaphor for life's journey. The desert has its own way of helping us feel renewed. The labrinth at St. Barnabas is such a treat. Stop by if you get a chance and quiet your soul.
