Despite all of the amazing off the beaten path European destinations bubbling up bucket lists (rightfully so), Italy still reigns for so many JB clients! Definitely the destination of summer / fall ‘24 around here 🇮🇹

Maybe it’s been a lifelong dream that couldn’t be fulfilled until retirement. Or a young family is taking their now old enough kids for the first time. What about honeymooners who have never been to Europe, watched White Lotus, and Italy immediately rose to the top of the list? Excited to visit again this week with our family and friends. Last time we were here, it was March 2020, on the verge of a state-wide COVID shutdown, and sans kids! Things change but our high-quality experience in this authentic mountain town certainly won’t… Stay tuned! ⛷️

Southbound for the next week! ✌️ ❄️ 🇨🇱 This was supposed to be a much anticipated summer ski trip to in Chile, but the weather guys and gals upstairs had other plans 😭 It is still early in the ski season for the southern hemisphere, and the resort we were headed to has not seen enough early season snow. So, last week, they announced a delayed opening, which blew up our plans 💥

Luckily, we have strong relationships with the best partners in the world, and with less than a week’s notice, we were able to completely flip our itinerary to make something out of nothing 🙏 Now, we are headed even further south, to Chilean Patagonia!!

On-mountain lunches in Europe can’t be beat! Even in an off-year snow wise for the Alps, it was (and is) worth the trip. for the win! 😋

Plenty of clients called anxiously because of the lack of snow in the Alps this season. All but one carried through with the trip. The only one who regretted their decision? Hint: they didn’t add any stamps to their passports this season… 🎿

Of course it’s about the skiing. But, more importantly it’s about the bigger picture and the overall experience. The culture, the villages, the charm, the sun terraces, the variety of languages, the cuisine, the après ski, the shopping, the people, the absolutely awe inspiring views, the ability to ski two countries in one day… The list goes on!

Weather is something we can never predict, no matter what the historical data says. We can only put our clients in the best position possible to have the best experience possible, using our expertise and considering all factors. Trust the process and it will all work out 😎

In less than 24 hours, we’ll be back in the shadows of this beauty, hopefully dressed up in a little more white this time ⛄️🇨🇭

While in Zermatt, we’ll be staying at Grand Hotel Zermatterhof (), a classic full service 5-star with epic views of the Matterhorn. Then we move to Verbier / 4 Valleys, staying at the Experimental Chalet (), a charming boutique in the village with chalet style architecture and warm service. Two very different experiences, each great in their own ways 😊

This ski SZN has looked and felt a little different for us, especially compared to last year...⁠

Of course, we have the thrill of sharing something we love with Parker and seeing her really embrace ski culture and enjoy it, but Kendra is back! After losing a year to a torn up knee and working incredibly hard to regain strength and get back on her feet, she’s skiing confidently, coaching Parker on the hill (and hauling her around 😂), and truly feels strong 💪 For that, we are thankful 🙏 ⁠

Looking forward to ripping up the Swiss Alps with in March! Zermatt and Vebier / 4 Vallées, here we come 😛🇨🇭

Multi-generational family travel can be so transformational. Take time outside of your “go, go, go” everyday life to embrace a new location, reconnect with your loved ones, learn something new (about a destination, a culture, or a family member), or simply to relax and enjoy each other’s company. It is so important to take time away to be present with those you love most ♥️

Pretty pumped (and maybe slightly nervous?) to be closing in on a 4-day daddy/daughter weekend, with mommy headed out of town! It will be our longest extended time alone without the support of our rock 💪, and I’m not sure what’s going to happen 🙃 Should we head back to Hawaii? We did alright together there 😛🤙

The Cliffs of Moher were every bit as majestic as we thought they would be. We could have spent the entire afternoon there soaking up the views 😍 and watching for wildlife (puffins!) 🐦 But yes, it was busy, and there were tour buses coming in and out regularly.

Luckily, our guide had access to a private entrance and parking area, so we completely avoided the crowds and chaos of the public parking lot. He also had access to a section of the trail that was closed off to the general public, giving us completely unobstructed views and photo opportunities (see 👆).

It’s not always about avoiding the touristy spots, because they are popular for a reason. It’s about experiencing them with people who have the right access and knowledge, to ensure you enjoy them in the best way possible.
