Aboard a fast catamaran you will cruise to the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, the high speed of the catamaran helps guarantee that you will spend more time where the whales, dolphins and porpoises are sighted. Food and beverages are available for purchase in the galley during the excursion. The naturalist guide will help you spot the marine life with their keen eyes. Your adventure will begin at Central Wharf, near the New England Aquarium, the North End, Faneuil Hall and other famous Boston Landmarks. Board the custom whale watch catamarans, which are among the largest and fastest in the country. Join up to 400 other passengers as you cruise towards the whales at speeds approaching 37mph. Not only fast, they are also incredibly stable, making your trip much more comfortable. There are three outside viewing decks as well as comfortable seats and snack bar inside the climate-controlled cabin. As you arrive at the mouth of the Massachusetts Bay you will enter the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, which is known as one of the world's premier destinations for whale watching. Often sighted are sea birds, dolphins, whales and more. The naturalist aboard works for the Whale Center of New England, they will help you spot harbor porpoises, puffins, minke and pilot whales, leatherback sea turtles, humpback whales, Atlantic white-sided dolphins, and more. They will also share their vast knowledge of the various marine animals that are seen, making this a fun and educational excursion. The Naturalist will share with you information about the conservation work being done, animals' behavior, scientific tracking of marine animals and more. Inside the climate controlled cabin you will find the New England Aquarium Education Station, which has state of the art video and sound systems to help you understand more about these great and important creatures. After you have seen and learned about the marine animals you will return directly to the Central Wharf, which is located near other great Boston sites so you can continue your Boston sightseeing. A voucher will be sent in a separate email than your e-ticket. This voucher must be printed and brought with you to give to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to do the excursion.
