Today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. And although the first recipe for such ice cream was first published in Italy, in Naples (in 1692), the Italians themselves prefer another frozen dessert - gelato!
Come on our food tour this Saturday and find out what is the difference between gelato and regular ice cream (they are not the same), what is the most popular gelato’s flavor in Italy and of course you will be able to try it :)
Lots of other interesting stories and delicious Italian food are also waiting you there!

The legendary Beacon Hill... With its very aristocratic federal-style rowhouses, narrow gaslit streets, and brick sidewalks it's one of the more desirable and expensive neighborhoods in Boston!

Come this Saturday to walk with us and you will know...
Where on Beacon Hill are the famous gas lanterns that have become a symbol of the area preserved?
Why was Myrtle Street for a long time continuous and divided the area into two slopes?
Which symbol of Massachusetts (so important that lawmakers refused to do business without it) was stolen from the State House by Harvard students.
And much more!

"Resilient Venice" is a new temporary exhibition that takes place at the Museum of Science.

Did you know that, according to scientists, in 6 years Venice will be so flooded with water that it will be impossible to live in the city?!
The new exhibition will be equally interesting for both parents and children.

Take a trip to this city of canals, save an ice cream parlor from flooding, and plan how to save the city!

You can visit this exhibition and find out more after our quest on Sunday.

The group at 11 AM is already full, there are some spots left in the group at 1 PM. You can sign up here www.greatbostonadventure.com/register

See you at the museum!

The most difficult thing about eating in Italy is that you can’t try everything. Every day you have a finite number of meals, and a finite amount of space in your stomach, whereas there seem to be an infinite number of Italian dishes that you “absolutely need to try”. From regional specialties to the finest seasonal delicacies, you would need multiple lifetimes to sample all the best Italian food, and that’s before you even consider dessert and drinks. Before you start to panic, we’ve come up with a little bucket list of Italian foods for you to try on your trip. This isn’t a best of, and it’s certainly not exhaustive – for one thing, we’ve avoided the topic of cheeses because they are worlds unto themselves – but on it are the dishes that we think everyone should try at least once when they visit Italy.
Meet our first and most flavorous FOOD tour
"A taste of Little Italy"!

When: March 1When: March 19 (Saturday)
Time: 11.30 am
