This guy! Our Takims Holidays’ guide, Raymond, spotted 42 lions, 3 cheetah and 2 leopards throughout Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti and Kogatende….along with numerous other amazing wildlife. Takims Holidays has the best guides! We saw 2 other lion cubs on the way to our balloon safari bringing the total to 44 lions. Mind you this is in 6 days on safari with time taken out for site inspections and lunches…not even full safari days. If you love the big cats, you will love Tanzania’s Northern Circuit, with Takims Holidays.

Today is International Snow Leopard Day to raise awareness and promote conservation of these amazing, endangered big cats. In some Asian countries, they are spirit animals, exemplifying the mental and physical stamina needed to overcome hardship and prosper.
I was thrilled to see snow leopards and take these amazing photos while traveling with Royal Expeditions in Ladakh, India.
