When we started renovating and painting the house as a rental, we were told that the purple was a terrible idea. The funny thing is that this room is most of our guest's favorite rooms! We have been asked for the color by many guests and even on social media. The best part for our family is that every room has a piece of our personality in it. We hope you love it as much as we do.

We have always supported local artists and small businesses. I found MDohrmann Woodworks during the 2020 covid lockdown. I worked with Mike for months to plan a surprise gift for Scott as a Christmas gift. It was by far one of the best presents I've had made for Scott, so when we started planning the kitchen, we knew we had to have a cutting board from MDohrmann Woodworks.

You will find this beautiful cutting board as well as a charcuterie board and matching cheese slicer.

Definitely, check out his amazing work.

When we knew we were purchasing this house, we started the search for some authentic furniture. There it was, on Facebook Marketplace, a gorgeous mid century desk and chair and we knew it had to go in this house. ⁠
⁠
When we went to pick it up, the sweet little lady who was downsizing to move into a care facility walked up to me with a piece of paper. To our amazement, the paper is the original bill of sale when her and her husband purchased this set from Kobacker Furniture Company in downtown Toledo in 1958 for $49.95. ⁠

Bowling Green, Ohio's wind turbines welcome in July and guests to NW Ohio as the state's first commercial wind farm. The four turbines can be viewed just west of Bowling Green from State Route 6. It's the perfect location to watch our colorful sunsets.⁠ 🌞
