Taking a midday break in the Florida heat isn’t just smart - it’s survival. And if you can pair that break with one of the funnest meals on Disney property? Even better. 😎

Today, we hopped on a boat from Magic Kingdom over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for a late lunch at Whispering Canyon Café, and we couldn’t stop laughing. Between the rowdy cast members, the bottomless skillets, and a few over-the-top ketchup requests (if you know, you know)… this place always delivers a good time. And best of all, it gave us time to relax, cool down, and enjoy the stunning lodge vibes.

The food was hearty and delicious, the atmosphere was full of energy, and it gave us a chance to sit down, cool off, and enjoy some seriously cozy lodge vibes. After our meal, we rocked on the back porch, poked around the gift shop, and took in the gorgeous lobby – all before heading back to our day refreshed and recharged.

There’s nothing like a Magic Kingdom morning! ✨⏰

We were through the gates early (thank you, Early Theme Park Entry 🙌) and it made such a difference - cooler temps, lower crowds, and way more fun before the heat really kicked in.

By lunchtime, we had already knocked out Seven Dwarves, Tomorrowland Speedway, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, People Mover, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Little Mermaid, Haunted Mansion, Tea Cups, and Tron! Mornings like this are one of the best reasons to stay at a Disney Resort - you really do get a head start on the magic.

We got all checked in yesterday – and wow, do we have room to spread out this week! 🐠✨

The Finding Nemo Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are such a great fit for families. With two full bathrooms and space to sleep up to six, mornings are smoother and bedtimes are a breeze.

But what really makes this resort stand out? The theming. 🎨 From the larger-than-life characters outside to the colorful details inside, it’s magic. I always say this resort is the most “Disney” of all the resorts.

And don’t sleep on the Skyliner access! Being able to fly to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios without needing a bus? Total win.

We're finally here at Walt Disney World - and the excitement is REAL. From the moment we passed under that iconic arch, the kids lit up like it was Christmas morning (and honestly… same).

Today’s all about getting settled, taking in that first dose of Disney magic, and easing into vacation mode - no rush, just joy.

Good morning from the Orlando airport… where we already feel more rested than we usually do after a travel day! 😴🛬

Last night we stayed at the Hyatt Regency inside the Orlando airport, and it was a total win. After a late flight, it was amazing to skip the Uber and roll straight from baggage claim to a clean, quiet hotel room-zero stress, all comfort.

This spot is ideal for late arrivals, early departures, or pre-cruise stays - especially since many cruise lines offer direct transfers from MCO. It’s one of my favorite travel hacks for starting your trip refreshed.

We’re grabbing breakfast in the terminal and then Ubering straight to Disney, but this is such a smart option for cruisers, too.

☀️ Florida heat, we’re coming for you!

Let’s face it - sometimes summer is simply the best time for your schedule to visit Disney. Don’t let the heat scare you away! With the right strategy, the summer sun just becomes part of the adventure.

It’s not just about what you pack (though we’re definitely filling our suitcase with a few summer survival essentials)—it’s also about how you pace your day:

✅ Rope drop mornings = cooler temps and lighter crowds
✅ Midday breaks = a quick dip in pool, an air-conditioned nap, or a table service late lunch
✅ Indoor rides & shows = a perfect thing to do when your crew needs to cool off
✅ Frozen treats + cold drinks = the heat is a great excuse for a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Sandwich!
✅ Hydration = pack a refillable water bottle to save some money

We don’t let the forecast get us down - it just gives us more reasons to slow down, stay cool, and soak in the moments that matter. ☀️

It was Lightning Lane pre-booking day for our trip this morning and I’m super happy with our line up!📝✨

Under Disney’s new system, resort guests can book their Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass selections for the entire trip starting 7 days before check-in - and today was our day.

Here’s how I made the most of it:
✔️ I used Multi Pass to select up to 3 rides per park day (on days we’re using it)
✔️ I added Single Pass options for Disney’s most in-demand rides - up to 2 per day, for a per-ride fee
✔️ The system let me view availability for our whole trip in one go - no more waking up at 7:00 AM every morning of your trip to book
✔️ And yes - just like before, selections can be modified later if better times open up

I’m thrilled with what I was able to snag! 🎉 A few rides are a little later in the day than I’d prefer, but I’ll be watching those closely and modifying them if earlier options pop up.

We’ve got matching outfits, Mickey ears, and are going to fill a suitcase full of red, white, and blue! There’s just nothing like celebrating freedom with fireworks, parades, and a little Disney pixie dust. 🧳❤️
