First-time guests to Africa always have so much to look forward to. We love getting updates from our guests having a blast and experiencing the wonder of Africa's culture and wildlife! Our guests in Tanzania right now are quite possibly having too much fun (especially since they are missing out on all of the cold and snow back home in the USA)!

Our travelers to Argentina are positively impacting jaguar populations there!

Our recent donation to Rewilding Argentina Foundation supported the first-ever jaguar conservation translocation from Ibera National Park to El Impenetrable National Park, helping to repopulate the species there.

We love contributing to amazing conservation efforts like these!

Intrepid iguanas, social sea lions, projectile penguins, and serene sea turtles- these are just some of the charismatic creatures you may encounter while snorkeling the abundant waters of the Galapagos!

Alexis just returned from an eight-day cruise of the western islands and she is still in awe contemplating the abundance and diversity of this enchanting destination!

Bolivia's Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve is simply stunning! This high- altitude haven for bird life (including three endemic flamingo species) also contains active volcanoes, dazzling lakes and saltwater lagoons, and endless vistas.

We found our own, private Yellowstone in the Atacama! In addition to admiring the geysers, mud pools, and steaming volcanic vents on today's hike, we were delighted by the abundance of vicunas and viscachas who call the colorful altiplano ecosystem home.

Some lemurs (bamboo lemurs, sportive lemurs, tiny mouse lemurs) only come out at night and enjoy resting in cool hiding spots during the day. Others, like the red ruffed lemur, are active during the day and use loud calls to set their territory.

Ringtail lemurs are only found in the arid spiny forest of southern Madagascar. Their habitat is rapidly shrinking each year as the growing human population here cuts the forest back each year for charcoal, building materials, and agriculture. The lodge we work with is trying to stem the tide by introducing cooking techniques that use less charcoal and implementing a reforestation program. But it's a long uphill battle.

LEMURS! The highlight of any trip to Madagascar is to see these furry friends in the wild. They are notoriously difficult to photograph as they are often moving about, hiding in the canopy, or napping in the heat. I was determined to get good pictures this time! More to come!

October is baby lemur season in Madagascar and this little gremlin is too cute! At Mandrare River Camp in Southern Madagascar.
