Added a “fire pit”. We’re calling it Beulah’s Wash Tub. Beulah resided here, she was Preston’s wife. They married in 1912, she passed in 1955. Preston left us in 1975 at the ripe old age 97. Pretty sure this wasn’t her tub, but wanted to honor her. Her maiden name was Rueter as in the town… pronounced Reeter

Our “new” replica fireplace made out of historic, salvaged 🪵 logs over 130 years old, from the nearby John Blair Homestead is complete. 🤓 Oh, if those logs could talk 🤔

John Blair was Preston H Blair’s father ( from Letcher County Ky) whose homestead is just up the road from the base camp. Attached is a photo of him, courtesy Find A Grave website.

Coming Spring of 2024! 😊 Enjoy the panoramic views from one of the highest points ⛰️ in Taney County at our little slice of heaven on earth. Make it your Base Camp for your adventures in the Ozarks. Some of the best hiking, horse 🐎 back riding, Off Road Vehicle trail access, Turkey🦃 , 🦌 deer, 🐻 or mushroom 🍄 hunting. Less than 2 miles of two access points into the 12,000 acre plus Hercules Glades Wilderness, go to "The Falls" and take a dip , enjoy the miles of trails on foot 🥾 or horse back. Are "Off Road Vehicles" your passion? If they are, spend the day exploring the miles of trails as we are less than 2 miles to the popular Glade Top Trails for ORVs. We'll be doing many upgrades to the property this year, so it will just get better and better. 30 minutes to Bull Shoals Lake to catch some bass 🎣 or 30 minutes to Lake Taneycomo to catch some wild class rainbow trout! 40 minutes to Branson for shopping, Branson Landing, golf or dining.
