In 2007 he initiated the Urban Camper group to chronicle his travels throughout his home state of Texas. The purpose of the group was to hone his skills as an organized traveler while learning the history that each town or area provides. The initial plan was to camp prior to exploring the area of his choice. Thus Jim has expanded his travels to include at least one major vacation per year.
