Do you know the difference between a passport book and a passport card? The U.S. passport book is the only document approved for international AIR travel. The passport card costs less, but can only be used at U.S. land and sea border crossings. Both can be used as a Real ID for domestic travel. You can apply for a passport book and card on the same passport application. Learn more at travel.state.gov/passport

An important update if you're traveling to the UK: 🚨

Beginning January 8, all U.S. travelers are required to apply in advance for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) if you're flying into the UK, which includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The process can take up to 72 hours, so plan ahead.

With the U.S. Embassy’s closure on January 9, 2025, per President Joe Biden’s Executive Order, all visa interviews and American Citizens Services appointments are canceled and will need to be rescheduled.

The offsite Visa Application Center will remain open for applicants who are scheduled for photo and fingerprint collection.
