All beverages will be served in special event aluminum cups, designed to be 100% recyclable while keeping your beverage a little cooler.

Banks of portable toilets will be located on West Adams Street and behind the Welcome Center (203 S. Main Street) along the Blue River. Bathrooms are also available at the Riverwalk Center (150 W. Adams Avenue).
Where do I park if I have to go to work? Friday-Sunday, Sept. 15-17, the most convenient parking will be at the South Gondola Parking Structure. Employees with Tiger Dredge Parking Passes will be allowed to use them in the South Gondola Parking Structure for the duration of the event. If possible, employees are encouraged to carpool, bike, walk, and ride the Breck FreeRide bus into town to go to work. If you have to work in town, allow plenty of extra time to commute. Highway 9/Park Ave. will remain OPEN.
Is there a place for my bike? Bike parking (bring your own lock) will be available at the Sons of Norway park, just south of Blue River Plaza, across the river from the Riverwalk Center lawn.
What if I ended up drinking, but didn’t plan on it? If you’re planning on drinking at Breckenridge Oktoberfest, please do not drive. Provided you’re parked legally, it’s OK to remain parked on town streets on the Friday and Saturday nights of Breckenridge Oktoberfest. All vehicles parked overnight must be moved before the following day’s parking enforcement begins. Please make note that Breckenridge now has paid parking throughout the town and is implemented from 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. daily.

Breckenridge Oktoberfest is a single-use plastic-bottle-free event. Guests are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and take advantage of several refillable water stations located throughout the venue. The Minimal Impact team will be onsite throughout the event to help festival-goers and vendors divert waste and minimize impact.

Bear Aware!

Are You A BearWise Dog Owner?

If you own a dog and live in or travel to bear country, eventually your dog may encounter a bear. Understanding why some dog-bear encounters end peacefully and others end with dogs and people being injured or killed can help keep people, dogs and bears safe.

Bears don’t like to be barked at, chased or cornered. When bears feel threatened and don’t see an easy way to get away from “danger,” their natural instinct for self-preservation kicks in, and the bear will most likely defend itself. No matter how big and strong your dog is, pound for pound bears are much stronger and more powerful.

Take time now to find out why bears and dogs naturally don’t get along and how you and your dog can live responsibly in bear country. For lots of tips, tactics and sound advice, visit our webpage on bears and dogs and also download our free 2-page bulletin: Dogs + Bears = Problems. Go to: bearwise.org/are-you-a-bearwise-dog-owner
