The Tyra Chalet condominium complex is located on 4 O'Clock Road, just 3 blocks west of downtown. The condo is fully stocked with necessary cooking and dining utensils and linens. Only one parking pass is provided. SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS:
Walk across the street to two trails that go alongside Sawmill Creek. From there it is a 3/4 mile hike to 4 O'Clock Reservoir. For the more adventurous, you can hike to the top of 12,998 foot Peak 8 in the summer up 4 O'Clock Trail, right behind the building. Mountain bike up the Four O'Clock Trail in the summer or ride a "comfort" bike on the 9 mile paved path alongside the Blue River. Walk 3 blocks to downtown Breckenridge's many restaurants and shops. Enjoy the 4th of July parade, river rafting on the mellow Blue River, the National Repertory Orchestra concerts (late June to mid August), and the Pro Challenge Bike Race. You can also enjoy Breckenridge's Fun Park on Peak 8, featuring an alpine slide, two person roller coaster, miniature golf, climbing wall, fun maze and pony rides for kids. Horse and pony rides up the mountain are also available at the Breckenridge Stables on Peak 9. WINTER HIGHLIGHTS:
The Snowflake chairlift is just a few steps across the street, with easy access to Peaks 8 and 9. You can make your way to the highest chairlift in North America, the Imperial Chair, and ski down 3 1/2 miles back to this condo for lunch. Enjoy Breckenridge's annual Snow Sculpture contest the last week of January. Next to the Snow Sculptures is the Ice Castle, which stays open until late March. Ride through the streets of Breckenridge in a mountain sleigh, drawn by a team of Belgian or Percheron draft horses. Enjoy April's month long festival of concerts and activities in Breckenridge.
