Up at the Hideout for some spring cleaning around the house. Just one patch of snow left and everything is budding..summer is almost here🙂. Did see a deer stop by my office window, haven't seen them up here much. Spent some time with an architect and beginning the design of a substantial remodel. More to come on that.

Great view of Mt Lincoln. You can just see it's peak from the cabin deck. Lot clearer at the top of the Hoosier Pass trail.

Quick trip up to the Hideout for some repairs and early winter cleanup. Got some absolutely beautiful weather this week with high 60 today.

Still plenty of snow around with more coming this weekend.

As we close out our latest stay, we were treated to a beautiful day after yesterday's 8" snow storm. Got a recording of an American Pine Marten for the first time digging for some dropped bird food in the fresh snow.

Sitting in my office working and saw a wall of water come down the creek. Guessing they released the upstream dams to fill up the Blue River lake which was under repair this summer. Crazy change in flow rate in seconds.

Seeing a crazy amount of wildlife this trip. Fox (daily), moose (multiple families, multiple days), and now deer. 1st time we've seen them. Good video here of them jumping around the meadow.

So nice to escape the Texas heat (105 heat index) and get up in the mountains for a couple of weeks. 70 degree high temps are a welcome relief. Also, when we got here, we were greeted by our local moose family and a some cabin inspired artwork from guests. Love it!
