Ending our stay with a visit to Sky Lagoon. Closer to Reykjavík than the famous Blue Lagoon. Beautiful setting to enjoy the seven step ritual. A lovely way to say farewell to Iceland. 🇮🇸

Just outside Reykjavík we visited Aurora Basecamp. The ideal place to watch for the aurora with a cozy fire and hot chocolate. One of the best things was the unique lava rock landscape. It almost felt like being on the moon!

The Golden Circle tour is a must do in Iceland. Beginning with the park that divides the North American and European continents, then we saw waterfalls, gysers and even a dormant volcano crater. Iceland is filled with natural beauty. And we had incredible weather!🇮🇸

Today we walked Into the Glacier. It was cool! Then we saw the Aurora Borealis on the way back.

Our first day in Iceland and we enjoyed a walking food tour. We sampled Arctic char, the local specialty hot dog and bread ice cream. It was a delicious first day.

Our last port is Grand Cayman. It’s so much more than a tax haven. We visited Seven Mile beach (actually just over 5 miles long). We descended into Hell, so named for the crazy rock formations. Finally we had a treat at the Tortuga Rum Cake factory. It is the #1 export of the entire country.

Pura Vida in Port Limon. It’s really different on the Caribbean side vs the Pacific side, both are unique in food, music and culture. I also like that this place is not overly touristy.

This morning we went through the Panama Canal at the Agua Clara locks. These are three of the new locks from Colon to Gatun Lake. It was far more interesting and impressive than I expected.

We spent the morning exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Cartagena. The cathedral dates to 1570s and Sir Francis Drake lived in one of the houses. A little history, good coffee and good shopping.

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2025. We are celebrating on the Rotterdam with an amazing dinner at Sel de Mer and a fun party poolside on the Lido Deck.

Ending 2024 on Holland America’s newest ship, Rotterdam. Today we enjoyed some island time at Half Moon Cay. The water was beautiful and clear.
