🌲 Pisgah is Coming Back to Life! 🌲
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and organizations pouring time and hard work into its revival, Pisgah is on the road to recovery. The Forest Service has been clearing and rebuilding access roads, and groups like Pisgah Area Sorba and the Pisgah Cowboys have worked tirelessly, clearing over 350 trees! 🌄
After the hurricane, many wondered when we’d ride these beloved trails again. They answered—with countless hours of commitment to bring Pisgah back for us all.
Pisgah Area SORBA has a helpful list of clear and not-clear trails, updated several times weekly.
And, for Dupont, clearing and repairs are ongoing, and we can’t wait to see our favorite trails ready for action. 🚵‍♂️

🌲 Supporting Western North Carolina's Recovery 🌲

As our region continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, our hearts are with the community and the beautiful trails we all love. The Pisgah and DuPont trails remain quiet for now, with both areas closed to outdoor activities. We all miss the sound of hubs spinning and the rush of a great downhill ride, but we know that in time, the trails will reopen, and we'll once again experience the beauty of Western North Carolina.

In the meantime, we invite you to visit our website and learn more about the incredible organizations working tirelessly to restore normalcy in WNC. From charities to churches, these groups are at the heart of the recovery, helping those most affected.

Let’s come together to support the region and ensure that when the trails open again, our community will be stronger than ever. 💪

There are millions of stories about the Hurricane. Our lead mountain bike guide, Yuri Eliashevsky, has his own story. We hope you take a moment to watch and share his experience in the storm. A landslide nearly took out his home, and he could have died had the landslide been 20 yards to the left. As of Monday, 10/7, Yuri needs an electrician to wire his home once the power lines return. Please DM us if you are in the area and know of one.

The GoFundMe set up by Jared (IG ) will benefit BeLoved Asheville, which has already raised $25,000 to help people like Yuri. Part of the GoFundMe is that you become eligible for prizes by donating. One of which is a Marauder Singlespeed Bike from 44Bikes

Please help support the recovery of Western North Carolina. Even small donations can go a long way as we navigate the recovery efforts.

We all felt the impact of last week's storm. One of our own, (our lead guide and overall awesome person), had a landslide next to his home. His driveway is impassable, washed out, and covered with mud and trees. Please take a moment to read about the raffle from to raise funds for those impacted by the hurricane. Link in bio!

Hurricane Helene Relief Effort //

I’d first like to extend my most heartfelt well wishes for all of you who were in the storms path. I hope essentials and aid can reach you as soon as humanly possible and I hope that everyone reading this is safe and healthy. As many of you have been reading and understanding the level of absolute destruction and hardship that Hurricane Helene has left in its wake, we all start to wonder how we can collectively take action to support those in need. A raffle has been set up by where all funds raised will be donated to who are on the ground providing aid to those in need right now. Jared of has had many contributions for the raffle. Go check out all that has been contributed so far. And I’d like to throw my hat in the ring to up the ante:

- 1x Custom 44 Bikes Steel Marauder SS
- Your choice of powder coat
- 25% off all components for the build

The build will begin immediately when the winning ticket is drawn after discussing details with the winner. This is your choice of a full custom Singlespeed Mountain bike from a frameset up to complete with 25% off all components. The frame is over $3500 value. This is the least I can do for those in need. I hope all of you can help in some way!

- Kris · Owner 44 Bikes

PS: Why a Marauder Singlespeed specifically? My one and only “factory rider”, is a die hard singlespeeder and he was one of many effected by Helene. We’ve been friends for over 30 years and I’d like to honor him by making this contribution as a singlespeed. Love you buddy and hope you are safe and healthy!!

Soak up the last bits of summer! As the temperatures drop and the 🍂 leaves change, those cool-off spots will definitely start to see less action. Fall tours are still available, and at Red Wolf, our tours are custom-curated for each individual, group, or family. We have no set routes but rather a tour designed to the riders' ability levels and the sights you want to see!

🚨 Help Save the Red Wolf! 🐺

Fewer than 25 Red Wolves remain in the wild, and vehicle strikes are the leading cause of their deaths. One of these incredible creatures, Airplane Ears, was tragically killed on HWY 64 in North Carolina. Airplane Ears sired 11 of the remaining wolves and played a critical role in the survival of his species.

The Center for Biological Diversity has launched a vital campaign to raise $2 million (they have raised over $1 million to date) for a Wildlife Crossing, preventing more unnecessary deaths. If the goal is reached, a donor will match the funds, doubling the impact! Together, this could lead to $20 million in federal funding for more crossings.

Every donation counts. Let’s ensure the survival of the Red Wolf—contribute today through the link is below and be part of this life-saving effort.
