Next weekend is available for any riders taking advantage of the Michigan Free Snowmobiling Weekend. Fresh snow in the forecast next week too!

Free snowmobiling weekend Jan. 17-19
Grab your friends and ride 6,000-plus miles of DNR-designated snowmobile trails, public roads, and public lands (where authorized) on two back-to-back days during Michigan's Free Snowmobiling Weekend, Jan. 17-19.

Residents and out-of-state visitors can legally ride without requiring a snowmobile registration or trail permit. All other snowmobile rules and safety certificate requirements still apply, and the Recreation Passport is required where applicable.

Don't forget to "Ride Right," so you get home safe to your family and friends. Ride sober, on the right side of the trail and at safe speed.

After a month of 100 degree weather in Texas it was a treat to spend the week in the cool UP temperatures. The Edwin H. Gott sailed out of the fog this morning as we depart to let some more guests enjoy the weather (78 with sunshine today!) and the view!

We have a nesting pair of bald eagles nearby. Today, we had some scientists come by to tag the baby eagles in the nest and got to participate. We have two baby boys - both a healthy 13lbs… any name suggestions?
