A Bristol icon... the Bristol Sign is an iconic landmark spanning across State Street and bridging Tennessee and Virginia in historic Downtown Bristol. Bristol Gas and Electric Company originally donated and placed the sign atop a hardware store in 1910 with the its original message, “PUSH! - THAT'S BRISTOL” referring to the growth and prosperity in the Twin-Cities. In 1915, the sign was moved to its current location, and in 1921, “A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE” was selected from a naming contest, and has remained the same ever since.

Posting in honor of this East TN angel warrior, the reason why we joined the fight against childhood cancer. Alidiah would have turned 17 today. When the temperature dipped yesterday, we enjoyed sampling in a quick cider made with raw apple juice, some coconut-pineapple water, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, & candied ginger blended together then simmered with cinnamon and pineapple spears - it was like a little tropical getaway in our mouths!
