The last few days I have not been able to get our neighbors off my mind. Strong, proud, resilient Appalachians who have been dealt a horrible blow. Hurricane Helene ravaged a countryside that I love and cherish and it’s going to take a long time to rebuild. We have built strong relationships with our guests over the last 4 years and so many of you have reached out to help. If you’re coming to visit us soon and want to make donations we’ll be happy to take them to distribution centers for you and we’ll match your donations. If you have any questions please reach out.

The last few days have been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Being Appalachian and living near the mountains, we in no way thought us or our homes would be impacted by a hurricane. Helene proved us wrong. We were incredibly blessed to have very minimal damage. We are also incredibly blessed with wonderful, amazing, and kind guests. Guests that rode out the storm with us and made the best of their current trips when our power went out and Helene raged outside our doors. I can’t tell you how many past and future guests have reached out just to check on our safety. One guest even offered up rooms in her own home for my family and I to stay in until power is restored. We are blown away by the outpouring of support to our community we love so dearly and are so thankful to the countless crews operating long hours for life to get back to normal. For now we’ll continue to pray for our community and neighbors who were hit worse and get to work helping!
