We are heading back to one of our favorite spots next month, and taking our kiddos along! Hawaii! We are returning to the beautiful Ko’Olina area on Oahua, but this time we are trying out the Disney Aulani resort and I can’t wait! We are hoping to do a little island hopping too! 🤞🏻

My knees are still killing me! Stoos Ridge was amazing, but it is one of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done! It wasn’t technically difficult, but these old knees struggled with alllllll of the elevation changes. 100% WORTH IT though. Shout out to my husband for always going with the flow. I want to hike miles up a mountain to stay in a hut. Done. Immediately walk a knee killing ridgeline hike the next day. Also done. 📌 SAVE this for your next trip with kids! We had several 3-4 hour road trip sessions along with a couple 4+ hour plane rides on our latest trip to Costa Rica. We were in survival mode with two toddlers. I chose not to limit screen time, but I also brought some busy activities for them as well. We packed each kid a backpack with: Snacks, snacks, snacks Puffy stickers Books Magic coloring books (clear markers) Reusable stickers Tablets with pre downloaded movies and noise limiting headphones. Our kids were actually angels during our travel days. The most difficult part of our trip was the dinner/bedtime routine due to the time change. I don’t routinely give them tablets at home, but it was a nice treat for the long rides. All you need to know about hiking Rio Celeste! You can take a guided tour here, but it is not necessary. In GPS, type in Rio Celeste y Los Teñideros. You can buy tickets at 8 am and the park opens at 8:30. It closes at 4 pm with the last visitors admitted at 2 pm. Parking is $5 and entry to the park is $12 per person. The hike is 3.7 miles round trip and is rated as moderate. The hardest part in my opinion is tackling the stairs right before the falls! There is no swimming allowed. Don’t forget to grab some food when you’re finished! There is an amazing restaurant as well as some local vendors! We had both. The pineapple was the best I’ve ever had!
