"This is the fourth consecutive year our family has vacationed on Great Sacandaga Lake. This year we were fortunate to stay at 109 Sunset Drive in Broadalbin, New York. This house was the perfect complement to the lake. It easily accommodated our family of nine. The loft was the perfect sleeping area for our three grandchildren who laughed and talked over the day’s island adventures and other things cousins like to talk about. The master suite was large yet homey. The bath included a large jetted tub and epic power shower. The balcony overlooking the lake and mountains was perfect for a morning cup of coffee or nightcap. The game room was enjoyed by all. Many spirited games at the pool and card tables added to the fun. The kitchen had everything you would need from the breakfast bar, kitchenware and supplies. It was extremely efficient and functional. The large deck and spacious lawn areas allowed for dining outdoors and family yard games.
The location was fantastic. Tucked into a quiet cove yet providing wonderful views of the islands, mountains, and open water. The house provided kayaks and water mats which were used to visit and explore the islands or to just relax on the lake. Walk in access to the lake was ideal for launching the kayaks or wading into the water. The dock was extremely sturdy and easily provided space for us to tie up our small fishing boat and still swim and dive into the deeper water.
A trip into Saratoga Springs is only 35 minutes away. Great place for dining or doing a little shopping. We also took in the Lucky E Rodeo. Would suggest going if you have never been to rodeo. Dinner at the Broadalbin Hotel was also a nice experience.
All in all the lake house was absolutely the perfect vacation spot. We are definitely hoping to go back next year!!!"
