Our recent expedition was a resounding success, thanks to the collective enthusiasm and warm camaraderie of the group. Watching the sun as the moon covers about 90% of its face, was fascinating! At Borderland State Park in Massachusetts, people gazed up at the sun with their special sun glasses ( courtesy of the Department of Conservation and Recreation). News reports indicate thousands flock to the path of the eclipse where people had observed and experienced about 4 minutes of total darkness.

Here are some photos we captured at Borderland using a simple cell phone camera with the special sun glasses attached to it.
