Fire Department Membership is quick, easy and very affordable. Becoming a member protects you from unexpected bills from incidents at your property that the fire department is called to such as: Carbon Monoxide/Smoke alarms, fires, medical assistance and gas leaks.

The cost for membership is only $35.00 per year, per property covered. If there are multiple cabins per property, each cabin will need membership.

For your convenience, we now have online payment by credit card as well this year. For credit card charges, please add a $2.00 transaction fee.

Many of our members graciously donate more than the minimum required, and this has allowed the department to keep prices low over the years. However, due to the growth of the cabin rental market, we are falling short of our financial needs to provide better service to the Hochatown Fire District. The short-term rental market has been an economic boom to the area, but the increasing number of visitors is also causing costs to increase to the local volunteer fire department. To keep the prices low going forward, we need as many properties to get coverage as possible.

We will provide a letter of coverage for your membership if requested. The application has a location to mark for such requests. Many insurance providers are now requiring fire department coverage membership.
