The Rivers and Roads backstory- A Texas girl fell in love with an Oklahoma boy. We spent weekends, holidays, and any free time we could find blowing across TX and Oklahoma making each other and our relationship a priority. We traveled so many turnpike miles, discovered new towns together, and took some pretty epic trips. One place we kept coming back to was Broken Bow, Oklahoma. I don't know if it was the pines, the mountains, or the water but we loved it here. We took a leap and purchased a lot (stay tuned!) While we were waiting to hear if our offer had been accepted he created a playlist for me titled "Rivers and Roads." Tears streamed down my face as I listened. So fitting for our relationship. So much time spent crossing rivers and traveling roads to get to one another.-My parents, Jack and Brenda, were building The Red Bird. Following their dreams of creating a special space for all to enjoy. We worked together on the project-me with the design, my parents with their vision, and Dusty with his hands. I thought for days about what our new business name should be. And then it hit me. It was always supposed to be RIVERS and ROADS. ❤️

One of the biggest TIPS I tell my friends and clients is * When purchasing functional or utilitarian items make PRETTY choices!! * I.E. dish ware, coffee pot, soap dispenser etc! Then, items you use daily can DOUBLE AS DECOR!! Can salad bowls be art?? Absolutely with the right choices!!
