Who doesn't love a good before and after? In the first group of photos you can see how the cabin looked when we purchased it in November... How was that only 5 months ago?! Ben and I both knew immediately that this was exactly what we'd been searching for. Besides the seven acres of riverfront, forested land, we loved the tiny cabin for its vaulted ceilings, restored old windows, salvaged wood walls, and of course the amazing views of the woods.... It just needed some TLC. Swipe to see how the cabin looks today! We have had so much fun turning this tiny cabin into a functional and charming destination for family getaways.

Since we purchased the cabin we have:
✔️Built a loft for two twin beds
✔️Hooked the cabin up to electricity
✔️Added lamps, a record player, a mini fridge, an electric stove, a hot/cold Culligan water machine, and a baseboard heater
✔️Furnished the cabin with new outdoor couch and dining set, queen pullout sofa, kitchen cart, and more
✔️Updated the outdoor patio area with new adirondacks, a bench, and a grill
✔️Brought in a canoe and kayak to enjoy the river

Finally some decent weather to put the finishing touches on the front patio area. What a perfect spot to unwind away from it all!

Relax on the Adirondack chairs or wood bench, take in the views of the beautiful forest, watch for birds and other wildlife, cook up a delicious dinner on the gas grill, have an outdoor fire in the chiminea, and wait for the stars to come out.

Spent the day at Blackberry Acres with two of my favorite women. It was so wonderful to take a break from projects and be able to slow down and enjoy the beautiful cabin and woods with these two beautiful souls. My heart is full.

The loft is complete! This modern slatted look not only fits the design of the cabin beautifully, but it also offers total safety for the little ones.

The loft will have two twin mattresses for extra sleeping capacity. Stay tuned to see it styled with bedding and more!

Welcome to Blackberry Acres! We are Jill and Ben. We purchased the property in November of 2021 and have been making improvements to get ready for you to visit. We definitely kept the rustic charm that makes this place special though!

We've been enjoying our winter trips up to the cabin to prepare this beauty for guests this spring. We always make sure to have time for projects and relaxation. Can't come to this place and not enjoy the peace it offers.
