It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Yesterday, we lost our dear little Bailey. He was the most loving, well behaved little guy. Everyone who met him fell in love with him. He was always patient , with our little granddaughter. She could pull his tail and do what toddlers do and he wouldn’t even flinch. He was the best companion. He was my work buddy, as he always spent the day with me, in my office, right by my feet. He had been through a lot in his life, he was a rescue and didn’t have a great home life, before we adopted him. He had some medical issues, but he was a trooper and a fighter, until the end. He loved to travel in the car. Smoked salmon was one of his favorite treats. We always teased that he must have some cat in him. He had a knack for sizing up the easiest mark at the dinner table. He would size everyone up and than sit and have a stare down with the person most likely to share their meal with him. His big brown eyes were just too cute to not give into his begging.
He gave us his unconditional love and we are heartbroken. He completed our family and now he is gone. I know you are in heaven little guy looking down on us. You no longer are in pain. You are running through the meadows wagging your tail. No more arthritis in your back and Gummae, Grandma Glowacki, Cindy and Aunt Alice are feeding you all the smoked salmon, steak and good people food that you could desire. We will miss you to the moon and back. Our hearts are broken. We will cherish all the memories and happiness you gave us. Our family will not be quite whole, with your absence. Know that you were loved and will be missed….RIP little guy.
