It is February at the tea farm. Brown grass but green tea plants. Depending on weather, we are still 3 months away from any harvests.

This is a False Spring Week. It is in the 80’s by day and 60’s at night. Plant people are eager to plant seeds and empty greenhouses but too soon yet. We may have a freeze or two yet!

This Spicy and Sweet Chai is made with 100% US Grown tea leaves!

We love this one with a splash of milk but it is also very good on its own. The spicy mix makes it warm but not too spicy so that you can't still taste the goodness of our tea!

Nothing major for us for snow, but it is a different scene today. We've had more snow than this before so we know we will be just fine. With the 10F (-12C) temperatures tonight, the snow will act as an insulating source of heat for the plants. It isn't staying cold enough to freeze the ground resulting in frozen roots. We will be back in the 60s F next week.

Thank you for all that have asked if the tea plants will be ok, we expect all will be good.

Snow and freezing temperatures are headed our way!

For a tropical plant they are surprisingly hardy!
