I have taken the radical step of severing all ties with all news apps, unsubscribing from all of the media, and consciously choosing to disengage from the toxic abyss of social media. I refuse to be subjected to another four years of unrelenting degradation and vilification. It is nothing short of horrifying that this nation—once a beacon of hope and rationality—has collectively decided that a person of such abhorrent character and moral bankruptcy should serve as its leader. The very fact that this individual, whose vile and reprehensible behavior has become emblematic of everything that is wrong with contemporary political discourse, was chosen to represent us is nothing short of a national tragedy. It is a profound betrayal, a devastating indictment of the electorate’s decayed sensibilities, and an affront to the ideals upon which this country was supposedly founded. We are now forced to endure a reality where a figure of such utter disgrace sits at the helm of power. This is an abomination. It is a grotesque mockery of democracy and civility, and it fills me with an unparalleled sense of despair and rage.
