We’ve had big changes with Nellie’s On the Lake including closing down our Manitou Beach location and moving operations South. We are STILL in business as a culinary extension of our farm!

📣 Happy fall update & NEW LOOK 🎃

BIG NEWS >>>. We have slowly begun expanding our culinary operations into NE Florida where we hope to release new culinary products manufactured by some pretty great vendor partnerships! All these wonderful goodies will come back to Michigan too!

Although we are no longer at the Manitou Beach/Devils Lake location, we still have wonderful culinary products for sale online or retail through our existing vendor partners.

We are CONSOLIDATING our brand into one main focus - our flagship farm so a new look will unfold soon ! Not to worry, operations will continue in Michigan on a seasonal basis with a new energy toward on-site events.

Bittersweet tonite as the last load was closed up in the trailer. SO MANY AMAZING people came through these doors and with some, friendships grew. Even during the stressful times of Covid and doors being shut, restrictions on everything and in between, people still came out to show their support and find something unique at our weekly culinary artisan market. We spun off a virtual farmers market, offered contactless payments and ran market goods to car windows with fresh lavender mochas. From ladies days, special shopping events, wine tastings in igloos, couples retreats with massages, beauty days for skin care and aesthetics …. This little cottage sure has held some special memories - not only for me, but the ladies who owned businesses and were trying to make it just like me. I’m forever grateful and humble.

Beyond customers, I met some amazing business owners and artisans who were willing to take a risk on my products, collaborate or just help me.
The Lavender journey went from “wow can I do this in Michigan?” … to …. “Damn… I am doing this in Michigan! 🤩

As we move from the lake, our brand and business continues to thrive and expand to new markets, new products and new concepts of doing business anywhere. The lavender journey is far from over.

I hope you will join me in September for a special open house at our flagship Nellie's Lavender Estate where you’ll experience all things Lavender and toast to new beginnings. Stay connected for event posting date & times and featured culinary artisans.

What a whirlwind we've had this past year!! We are so incredibly blessed to have been welcomed to Manitou Village and Devils Lake by so many wonderful customers and friends.

This commercial location allowed for an overall vision for our culinary division to continue to expand, change when needed (especially during the pandemic) and orginally just come into its own. Through trial and error and prayer, we invited fellow women business owners to showcase their talents and abilities and be a part of what that vision was for that moment for this particular piece of real estate. I want to personally and publically say "thank you" to Holly Hagar Griewahn, Realtor, Foundation Realty for the excellent care she took with this property to ensure it was perfectly positioned in this market.

It is a bittersweet endeavor, especially when you become emotionally attached to such a cute and quaint property that you invested in and added personal touches, many long hours and memories of staging and restaging and rearranging. Now, it's time to continue the forward momentum of our new contracts and partnership opportunities not only in Michigan but out of state and EXPAND OUR CULINARY REACH to a thriving and expanding area. Plans are in the works for our farewell/toast party, but in the meantime, you'll still find our products available at www.nelliesonthelake.com OR www.nellieslavenderestate.com

Excited to bring this similar vision with southern charm to the SOUTH.....
