We are thankful for the memories we’ve made, the places we’ve visited, and the times with family and friends.

Grand Turk Island
Grand Turk can be checked off our list!! We had the opportunity to experience the island’s beauty and culture while on board the @carnival Mardi Gras. 🇹🇨 🚢 🛳️ 🏝️
The day began with an amazing sunrise and an easy walk off the ship. Our group rented 3 golf carts through Viator & Drive GDT. We took the short walk through the port and met our tour operator immediately outside the entrance. 🌅 ⛳️ 🏎️ 🚕
The island is approximately 7 miles long and 1.5 mile wide. We were able to explore at our own pace and see everything. There is quite a bit of history at the Grand Turk Lighthouse, along with plenty of wild donkeys. We also found a GORGEOUS ‘privately-public’ beach right next to the @ospreybeachhotel 🏨 🌊 🏝️ 🐚 🫏
Following our time on the beach, we drove up and down Duke Street deciding on lunch. After stopping at @sand.bar.tci & @barbies_grandturk, we settled on The Taco Bar at the @turksheadinnegrandturk The food and views were great, but make sure you give yourself plenty of time! 🚙 🌮
Overall, our time in @grandturkisland was AMAZING! We love exploring on our own and taking our time to experience local history, cultures, and cuisine. We’ll look to go back!!
Things to know…
1. Drive on the opposite side of the road
2. Don’t stand behind the donkeys
3. Give yourself plenty of time for lunch

Carnival Mardi Gras - December 2024
Our time onboard the Carnival Mardi Gras was amazing! 🛳️ 🏝️ 🚢
Rocking our way through some rough seas the first couple of days didn’t keep us from enjoying our time.
Every staff member was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests.
The food options are endless! Guys Burgers, Cucina Del Capitano, Chibang, and Shaq’s Chicken are musts! 🍔 🍝 🥢 🌮 🍗 The poolside Street Eats options were also delicious!! The amount of ice cream consumed was comparable to slices of pizza on MSC! 🍦🍨
There were too many entertainment options to keep track of, but some of the shows weren’t as captivating as what we were anticipating. However, I am glad we didn’t miss the events at the Center Stage Theatre! 🎤 🎙️ 🎺 🎻 🎭
Carnival lives up to their #funship motto! There was nonstop energy, excitement, and activities!! Jacky Tang Entertainment was the best Cruise Director we’ve cruised with. The water slides, putt-putt golf course, Lido Pool Deck, arcade, and ropes course kept us busy during Sea Days. Unfortunately, the Bolt Rollercoaster was never open when we were on board. 🪢 ⛳️ 🎢 🏊
We are grateful for our time onboard the Carnival Mardi Gras!! The countdown for our next Caribbean adventure has already begun!

We did a custom excursion through a local tour operator. It included a hike up to the Damajagua Falls, making our way down the natural water park, lunch, and a stop at Playa Dorada Beach. 🤿 🧗♂️⛱️ 🌸
It ended with a tour around the city center that included stops at Independence Park, Umbrella Street, Pink Street, Fort St. Philip, chocolate factory, Ambar Museum, and plenty of shopping! 🛍️ 💎 🍫
Experiencing the history and local culture of new destinations is one of the things we love about traveling! We are already planning our time in Puerto Plata next November!!
