The G Family could not wait for their Spring Break Cruise; so, we got them set up with the perfect Fall Break Cruise aboard the Carnival Dream! The Carnival Dream departs from Galveston for a 6-day Caribbean cruise with stops in Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel, offering a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
Accommodations and Dining:
Guests can choose from a range of comfortable staterooms and suites, each designed for comfort and style. Dining options are plentiful, with highlights including Guy's Burger Joint for gourmet burgers, the BlueIguana Cantina for Mexican cuisine, and the elegant main dining rooms serving a variety of dishes.
Entertainment and Activities:
Entertainment onboard the Carnival Dream caters to every taste, from Broadway-style shows and comedy performances at the Liquid Lounge and Punchliner Comedy Club, to live music and themed parties. The WaterWorks water park provides thrilling slides and pools, while the SportSquare offers outdoor activities like basketball and jogging. Adults can unwind at the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat, featuring a bar and peaceful lounging areas.
Excursions and Ports of Call:
In Costa Maya, guests can explore ancient Mayan ruins like Chacchoben or relax at the beachfront pool complex. Belize offers opportunities for snorkeling or diving in the Belize Barrier Reef, one of the world's most vibrant marine ecosystems. In Cozumel, guests can visit the famous Mayan ruins of Tulum or enjoy water activities like snorkeling among colorful reefs.

🌟 **Houston Getaway!** 🌟🏨 **Where We Stayed: Magnolia Houston Hotel**A Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel offering comfortable accommodations, easy access to all downtown Houston dining and activities (less than 1/2 mile from Minute Maid Park), great city views, and excellent in-hotel dining. It's a modestly priced option that won’t break the bank.🍽️ **Where We Ate:**- **Pappasito’s Cantina:** Known for their top-notch fajitas and authentic Tex-Mex dishes. A must-visit for delicious flavors!- **The Dispatch:** Located on the 2nd floor of the Magnolia Resort, this restaurant served a variety of great breakfast items and a top-notch dinner that I'd choose even when not staying at the resort.- **Hearsay Market Square:** This place was amazing! With a chic atmosphere and a diverse menu, the star of the show for me was the incredible charcuterie board featuring a freshly made pretzel as its base.🎢 **What We Explored:**- **Puttshack:** Not your ordinary mini golf course! Puttshack features 36 indoor, interactive holes with varied themes and digital score tracking. Plus, they serve great bites and drinks to enjoy before, after, and during your rounds. After 6 PM, it closes for adults only to create a night-out feel, but it’s a cool spot for families during the day.- **Minute Maid Park:** We obviously had to stop by Minute Maid Park to watch the 2x World Champion Astros play. Even though the score didn’t work out in their favor, it's always great to take in a live sporting event and enjoy some ballpark favorites.- **Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart:** This Catholic Church is a sight to behold. The interior is stunning with its grand architecture and serene atmosphere.There’s tons to do during a trip to Houston for all types of travelers.
