Starting tomorrow I will be out of the office for onsite training in Alaska. During this time, I will be answering emails and working on quotes as soon as possible between tours and trainings. Received some great news this morning with an email notifying me that I was one of the top 150 agents worldwide for ALG Vacations (ie: Apple, Funjet, United Vacations, etc). In addition, found out I am also in the top 10 out of 8500 agents in my area. Blessed to be able to call this my full time career. I love what I do and appreciate all of you referring me, liking my posts, booking your trips with me and trusting me to plan your trips. This educational and immersive experience showcases everything that makes Anchorage, Alaska so special - and will give me inside knowledge to assist you in booking beyond the cruise. I was at the Ava resort in this past week in Cancun. This resort is massive. Very long and narrow. From one end to the other it's a mile walk. Restaurants and pools are very spread out throughout the resort. It is a family friendly resort which is beachfront with all oceanview rooms.

They have a kids club with a trampoline park and some slides. They also have a teens club set to open soon which will include basketball and arcade games.

There is a small waterpark on site that is good for kids 7 and under. They also have a pool with an aqua blow up park good for all ages.

The beach isn't great. Murky water with hints of Caribbean that try and peak through, however if you are a beach person I would not recommend this resort. There is a small area with chairs and umbrellas and good for walking but otherwise not great for swimming at times.

The food was good at the restaurants I was able to eat at. They have several options including Hibachi, Sushi, Taco stand, Italian, Steakhouse, Buffet and much more.

There is a night club on site that stays open til 2am.

Several bars available throughout the resort including a couple swim up bars.

Cabanas are available to rent daily and range in price up to $230 for the nicest ones which include covered areas with a bathroom attached.

Service and staff were very friendly and very accommodating to the groups that were staying at the resort while I was there.

Inside activities include bowling (extra charge) and laser tag (extra charge). There is a daily activity list for both kids and adults you can review on the app for other things offered at different times of the day.

All in all I think this resort has a lot of potential once it's fully open. Currently they just had their grand opening yesterday and softly opened this past June so there is still some work being done in many spaces but should be completed soon.

If you have mobility issues, this resort is probably not for you as it's a ton of walking from place to place depending on where you are wanting to go.

Took the family to the Bahamas on Royal Caribbeans Allure of the Seas this past week for a 4 night cruise. The ship was awesome and the staff was wonderful. Cococay is always a fun stop and then Nassau swimming with dolphins! Highly recommend the Junior suite for a family of 4 as it provides a nice bathroom and a lot of room to spread out! Attended a luxury travel conference downtown Cleveland the past 3 days. I learned so much about a lot of wonderful options for my clients who are looking to broaden their horizons. Whether its destination crusing, African safari, a small guided tour with your kids in an unfamiliar country. I do these symposiums so I’m educated not only for myself but for my clients.
