New updates at BLACK BIRD CABIN ...
New cushions on the porch chairs and we now have the beginnings of an entertainment center in the basement. The kids can play videos, or they can hook up a gaming console for rainy days and night time.

The leaves are still green,but not for long. It's cooling off and BLACK BIRD CABIN is dressed for fall!

Spring change over is done! This time we brought our grandsons. Their favorite things are the hot tub and playing in the basement, but we did go for a drive to the park entrance to see the elk, and skipped stones in the river. We also got a rare opportunity to see the resupply helicopter for the LaConte Lodge! We have upgraded the master bedroom with new flooring, rugs and bed coverings. I really love the look!

After breakfast at Peter's Pancake House in Cherokee , we took a peaceful ride up to Newfound Gap. We saw part of the elk heard... no bucks, only cows and babies. They are magnificent animals? It was so beautiful! I love winter time at the cabin!

With all the decorating done we took a tourist day. We hadn't been on the Blue Ridge Parkway in ages! There was a chill in the air, the colors were starting to show and the smell of balsam was thik in the air! This is why we bought this cabin! We enjoyed beautiful mountain views, tunnels, and turkeys!
