“Thou shan’t go hungry anymore”…
Well, at least for today- there is plenty of delicious food around these parts. Our pals at Roaring Lion are back at it, plying us with thier delicious farm-made breakfasts. The good people out at Tinderhearth are baking away, supplying us with a raft of freshly-baked pastries and loaves & boules of crusty bread.
And here at EL EL’s Kitchen, we are producing a vast array of deliciousness for your consideration (and eventual consumption) up the hill at Makers’ Market Shop & Studio!
For starters, one of our most popular items is always our quarts of Soup For Later- This week, we’ve made our famous Tortilla Soup! Limey, a little zippy, full of tasty veg and served with a handful of crispy chips to put in the bottom of your bowl, and some shredded cheddar to top it all off with- this is an amazing springtime meal!
As far as our entrée’ of the week- We’ve made a Thai Pasta in Peanut Sauce, filled with flavors and textures far from The Peninsula (Think ginger and sriracha and garlic) and with lots of colorful veggies like Broccoli and Red Bell Peppers and Green Onion. This dish is ready to eat, or you can heat it up and build a meal around it with a little salad and a nice bottle of white (which we can also send you home with).
We’ve also received a new shipment of local tofu from the peeps at Heiwa in Rockland, and we have it on the shelf ready to create your favorite dish. We have taken it upon ourselves to build a lovely Marinated Tofu Salad in some of the Peanut Sauce as well, which will make a delicious lunch, or a great side.
And speaking of lunch? We have more sandwiches- Ham & Cheese today, with Nervous Nelly’s tomato chutney, sliced bread & butter pickles and a little Raye’s mustard on our freshly-bake baguette.
And, there are freshly-baked baguettes, too! Which go great with our new line of farmstead cheeses from Balfour Farm.
Pugnuts ice cream? Frozen Pizzas and burrito 4-packs? Gluten-free waffles? Fresh eggs, bacon, chops? Yes to all, it’s a horn of plenty!
All in all, we are super fortunate to be here, now- Savor it!
