Join us TONIGHT to share your feedback on the Austin Street Reconstruction bond project during the Open House at the Buda Welcome Center. We'll be here from 5 p.m.-7p.m.

BONDS PROJECT OPEN HOUSE TONIGHT

The City of Buda is hosting an in-person, open house TONIGHT, August 8 at the Buda Welcome Center from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. We’d like to hear your thoughts about the Austin Street Reconstruction bond project in downtown Buda.

If you’re unable to make it tonight, a virtual open house is available until August 14 at BudaBonds.com where citizens will be able to leave feedback as well.

The proposed improvements include reconstructing Austin Street from San Antonio Road to FM 2770 to incorporate on-street parking, pedestrian improvements, and stormwater treatment. The proposal also includes a pedestrian crossing between FM 2770 and China Street along Main Street.

Union Pacific Railroad notified the City of Buda they are rescheduling the road closure at the South Main Street railroad crossing, located next to the Buda Mill & Grain Co., for maintenance. The closure will now take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 6 AM through Thursday, June 20 at 6 PM. Expect delays and utilize alternate routes.
