Here’s question/ consultation. At this point I think this would be better than a new phone. I would miss face recognition, but I still have thumb prints on here. at . I have to say Mesa Verde was not nearly as interesting as finding ruins on BLM land in SE Utah. You pay, go past concessions and modernity, then drive within a couple miles of a ruin and walk on pavement to get there. You don't even need a map and there's very few artifacts. Nonetheless, cheers to 100 years

This morning I hiked part of Mt Columbia with Loretta McEllhiney, USFS CO 14er Program, and Preston Hovenkamp, Project Manager for CO 14ers Initiative. They showed me the reroute they've been working on this summer for an upcoming story. I now have a whole new appreciation for walking up mountains. Those rock steps require about 2.5 hours each.

Really looking forward to reporting on this trail and profiling McEllhiney, the first and only person in her position and overseeing trail work on all 14ers in the state.

Looking into permitting for this hike. It goes from Crestone through National Forest, next to a Wildlife Refuge and ends at Sand Dunes National Park.

This week I went to Crested Butte to for the Adventure Travel Trade Association's Adventure Edu and the SW Tourism Summit, both with Visit Colorado. I learned a ton about Colorado tourism, marketing, industry trends, other travel organizations. But the most valuable thing I learned is that Verde Tours is exactly the type of experience tourists are looking for!
