We're so excited for the 3rd Annual Trail Sisters Women's Half Marathon trail running race tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 9th from 8am-1pm, located on the Whipple & Midland Trails.

Join in the fun and cheer for runners at 8am as they leave South Main's Public Green Space for their trail adventure.

This race is fully permitted by the Town of BV, Chaffee County, and the BLM. The trails are open for everyone, just be aware of increased trail traffic.

Trail Sisters will mark out the course with orange flags and hang markers today and will remove these markers no later than 5pm Saturday afternoon. *Please do not remove these course markings. Runners rely on these markers to help them safely navigate the race course.

Starting on May 20th Surf Hotel will host a variety of creative community work sessions with town planners and neighborhood designers Dover, Kohl & Partners - Town Planning, otherwise known as a Public Design Charrette. These sessions will be focused on creating a vision for a new walkable, mixed-use neighborhood at The Meadows. This is the same award winning urban planning team who helped create South Main.

A Public Design Charrette is a rapid, intensive, and creative work session for a design team to achieve an optimal and informed design for the future of an area. The Charrette is product oriented and brings all stakeholders to the table over a short period of time to work intensively with the design team to reach consensus over the future of an area. Community input is essential so we hope you'll join us.
