It may feel like we are moving in the wrong direction and that we are going backwards in life. In reality, we are dancing the Cha Cha of life. As we take steps back and step outside of the box, we gain knowledge, experience and the force needed to propel us forward like an arrow towards a target.

Hey….sometimes where we are heading isn’t a bad place. We could learn a little something from nature.

I mean, did you know that seeds have a built-in ability to orient themselves correctly and grow according to gravity? Plants automatically position themselves toward the sun. The roots will actually grow toward the pull of gravity and the stem or shoot will grow up and away from it. They don’t think. They just know which way to grow. This, my friends, is known as geotropism.

We too have a similar system….only it’s called intuition. It’s our orienting force. It helps position us without recourse to conscious reasoning and helps us flow.

Yeah yeah I know trusting your intuition can be tricky.

If you don’t like something, change it sounds simple, but it isn’t always.

Something as simple as changing my hair color had me ridden in anxiety. I literally had a melt down.

Maybe it’s a birthday around the corner, just being comfortable with lighter hair for so long, or maybe it was the fear of making a mistake.

Change can be fearful. I call fear a bully. This helps me face the “bully”. It helps me stand up for myself, and do what I want without being bullied.

Do I still make mistakes? Sure, but I do what I want and that’s better than being afraid to make a change.

It’s not easy to learn to be patient and to show yourself grace as you embark on new ventures. We can be our harshest critics.

We must remind ourselves by giving our thinking some space, we unlock the full potential of our minds and allow it the freedom and ability to discover the connections that we are having trouble making.

Besides, great things take time. A tree in all it’s marvelousness was not a tree from day one. It was merely a seedling. We too will be great. We must allow ourselves time to grow.

They get trapped in our bodies. Emotions of fear, anger and resentment are often held in our jaw and around the mouth. A sore throat, mouth ulcers or teeth grinding at night, could be a sign that there is an excess of overactive or stagnant energy held in the jaw.
