At the start of 2024, Holli & Zach set the ambitious challenge to take 50 tours in one year. They've already taken 44 different tours around Buffalo and expect to hit 50 tours taken in December!

Holli received an Explorer Pass Membership as a member of our 2023 Young Professionals Program class and is definitely making the most of it! Of the 44 tours her and Zach have taken together this year, 39 of them have been with Explore Buffalo. We were thrilled to hear about Holli's tour challenge and had to sit down with her to learn more about it!

Holli acknowledges 50 tours was an aggressive goal, but knew it was achievable with some active effort. She was enjoying the challenge when we first touched base with her in August and would recommend beginners starting with the goal of 25 tours in a year.

We encourage all of our members to try their own tour challenge in 2025! Explorer Pass Memberships are currently 20% through Monday for anyone wanting to get a head start. Head to ExploreBuffalo.org to learn more and make sure to let us know about any tour challenges set next year 🦬⭐️

Explore Buffalo is proud to announce a grant award totaling $40,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Through New York State’s continued investment in arts and culture, NYSCA has awarded $82 million this year to 509 artists and 1,497 organizations across the state.⁠

And that’s a wrap on our new Boos & Spirits tour for 2024. We were so excited for Docent Nancy to put an Oktoberfest twist on our United German & French Cemetery tour, incorporating Buffalo’s brewing history and some of the stories behind our city’s iconic food.
