THE VIETNAM WALL & COST OF FREEDOM TRIBUTE has been RESCHEDULED due to the anitcipated extreme weather. Please help us spread the word.

The UPDATED Event Schedule is as follows:
• Wednesday, 9/25: The wall will be es**rted from East Baton Rouge Parish into Livington Parish and Sidney Hutchinson Park, 8:30am
• Thursday, 9/26: Quilt of Valor Ceremony, 10am
• Friday, 9/27: Wreath Ceremony, 10am
• Saturday, 9/28: Living History Timeline, 9am to 4pm
• Sunday, 9/29: Ride of Honor and nondenominational church service. 9:30am (ride) 10am (service)

AVTT is retiring two of its Vietnam Traveling Walls at the end of this year (2024) They have traveled the USA for the last 10 years and have visited many city’s and towns across the 48 contiguous states! They are a perfect centerpiece for new local, regional or state Veterans Memorial parks or a great addition to your currently existing Memorial Park. Come see us in Sturgis! Make sure to stop by the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis on July 27th for the opening ceremonies for the Wall & Cost of Freedom exhibits. The Wall & COF will be set up from July 26-August 11, 2024. Come Honor, Respect and Remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Standing proudly behind the Battlefield Cross Sculpture and Freedom Field is the AVTT Veterans Memorial Wall. Each year the Patriot Guard Riders assist in putting up this wall so you can see the names and pay your respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our freedoms.

On June 4th, 1974, exactly 50 years ago today, the first woman graduated Army Flight School. 2LT Sally Murphy was the only woman to attend the first class open to female officers. After achieving pilot status in the rotary-wing training, Murphy went on to complete a fixed-wing course. COL Murphy retired in 1999.
