First time stippling a G***k...

Folks - I've had a number of requests for a "G***k Customization Class". In this class we will discuss and participate in customization of your G***k. Topics learned are: disassembly/reassembly, trigger jobs, installation of aftermarket parts, building a slide, refinishing, sights, polishing and how to stipple your grips. The class fee would include the "options" that the customer selected. Please weigh in if you'd be interested in a course like this.

Need your thoughts...I'm thinking about matching the magwell to the slide color. The rest of the black parts to be done in "Texas Tea" (bronze color on the barrel below). What's your opinion?

In case you all were wondering here are the results from the 9x10HH tests. Next up are the ballistic gel tests and accuracy tests. The report is coming along well and hopefully will be published before the end of February.

And here it is reassembled. Next I'll add a mag well and paint it OD Green. The trigger, takedown lever, mag release, slide stop/release and safety I'll paint OD green as well.

Working on customizing a G***k 37 (45 GAP). Step 1 - install a thumb safety. Step 2 - paint the slide OD Green. Step 3 - paint barrel, extractor and rear plate Texas Tea. (Paint job you all will see once done baking)

Finally at the range to finish our velocity and pressure testing on the 9x10 HH. Today we're testing loads 3-5. Bullet weights are 147 and 125 grains.

I'm in the process of creating a "G***k Custom Class". It would include a custom slide, barrel, trigger and instruction on customization for carry or target use. The class also includes American gunsmithing institute DVDs. I'm thinking that the course should be $900. Thoughts?

Tomorrow we will finish our velocity and pressure testing on the 9x10HH. After that we will begin the selection of 5 loads for terminal performance and run that through the contender platform. Next will be platform testing...G***k and 1911.

Since last April we have been working on developing a new round. Our goal is to create a cartridge for a semi automatic pistol/SMG platform that provides true (preferably better than) 357 magnum performance. So far wears there and haven't even finished testing yet! This week should see most of the final testing. Stay tuned for more updates!
