Had an incredible day cruising the Erie Canal in Lockport. Weather started with a drizzle, but in no time the sky was blue and the sun was shining. The engineering & work it took to design and build the Erie Canal is insane. It was interesting to see how it all worked. After our cruise we headed to charming town of Lewiston, NY. We walked the town had lunch, and hit up the local bakery for a sweet treat. The Freedom Crossing Monument was soul stirring. Beautiful tribute to the importance of the Underground Railroad. After our stroll around Lewiston we headed to the Victorianbourg Wine Estate. A family owned vineyard that was named after the missus. We learned about how they processed their wine and walked the vineyard. We came, we tasted & we purchased!! A full day of adventure for our last day in Buffalo.

Yesterday was a tour around Buffalo 🦬 City. Mike our step on guide was funny and very knowledgeable about his hometown. We learned about the Erie Canal, all the wealth that made Buffalo. The mansions! The architecture was stunning throughout the city. Home of the buffalo wings with blue cheese only, don’t ask for ranch unless you don’t mind looking like a tourist. We visited the grain silos and learned their history, plus how the city was refurbishing them for use now. End of our day was a visit to the Pierce-Arrow museum. We met the owner and he showed us around his fabulous collection.

First Travelers had a blast from day to night at Niagara Falls. We came we conquered and we got wet! Dinner was full of laughs, dancing and great food. If you haven’t been to Niagara Falls add it to your bucket list.

The Carnival Jubilee was breathtaking. It reminded me of the Great Gatsby era. Interior of the ship was moody with textures of velvet green and brass finishes. Exterior especially at the Serenity deck was calm and zen! This ship was all that I’d hoped it would be and more. Thank you Carnival for having First Travel on to get familiar with our new Texas sized ship.
