Good morning and a very Merry Christmas🎅🏼🎄🧑‍🎄

Hope all of you are healthy and continue to be safe with all of the things going on.

This will be the last posting from Swans of New England Tours.
This page will be gone by the end of the year.

If I can get it going properly (probably too old to even be thinking about it) our new page under the new name will be up and running. It’s there - but having a few issues.😟🤔

Gary decided to change the name after 30+ years. We had our people on a few different trips give us suggestions of what we should be called. They were all great suggestions - and nice too. So all is in place to go.

The new name will be Gar-Lin’s Friendly Travel. So we would love to have you continue to follow us and like our new page.

Please continue to stay healthy, safe and warm and hopefully we will see you in 2022.

Latest 2021 update

Good evening everyone,

Fall is here and hopefully the snow will not be falling any too soon.

Please keep the Swans of New England Tours families in your thoughts and prayers. It is always tough to be ill and also to lose loved ones. With the pandemic continuing to haunt us, it makes it even tougher. Some of our family have major health problems and we have lost a few as well. Never easy. Sorry.

On the lighter side, our youngest traveler turned 98 today. A big happy birthday to Armande Tremblay.🎂🦢❤️. Always has a beautiful smile for everyone and does not get on or off the bus without a big hug for Gary. She is special to all of us, but he is special to her.

Now for the latest update. As many of you know, for the past few years we have gone with two plus buses to Akwesasne New Years Day.

This year New Years Day falls on Saturday. They do not allow buses on Saturday. We approached them about going on Sunday January 2nd about a month ago. We finally received confirmation from Akwesasne that they will allow us to go on Sunday. I am posting the flyer for your review.

If any of you are interested in joining us, please contact us as soon as possible. Usually a fun time to be had.🤔🤫🤭

Schedule for October: Wednesday October 6th - Akwesasne; Sunday/Monday October 10 & Qi- Rivers Casino(Landon Hotel) and Saratoga; Sunday October 24th - Akwesasne.

Good evening everyone,

Hope you are all continuing to stay healthy and safe.

Been another unfortunate week in our country and I know you are keeping our fallen soldiers and their families in your thoughts and prayers.❤️🙏🏻

Would like to share with you what has been going on in the Swans of New England Tours family.

We have had a few trips to Akwesasne, Saratoga, Rivers/Saratoga overnight and 2 mystery lunch trips. Hopefully we will continue to keep them going. Atlantic City next week and working on mystery lunch no. 3. (& possibly a shopping spree)

Mystery Lunch no. 1: Coffee and donut at Cold Hollow Cider, lunch in Newport at the East Side Restaurant, with a stop at Champlain Chocolate, Danforth Pewter and other shops on the return.

Mystery lunch no. 2: Morgan Horse Farm, (where we took a chance on winning a Swans horse to be drawn in October), lunch at the Waybury Inn (which included a champagne toast for Don Lacharite’s 90th birthday for everyone from his brother and sister-in-law Bob and Pat Carman), and final stop at the Dakin Farm retail store. Pictures attached. (Don wasn’t sure he wanted to go on this trip, but his wife Betty made it happen - thank you Betty)

I want an honest opinion on a couple of the pictures I will be posting. They show a man with a horse. I want everyone’s honest opinion on who is the better looking of the two: the horse or the man with the sunglasses. I value your opinion BIG TIME!!!

If you wish to go on future trips, you may want to agree with me. (Not the man with sunglasses). LOL

Few seats left for Atlantic City at this time and Rivers/Saratoga again October 10 & 11. Hopefully mystery lunch trip no. 3 late September. Will also be updating the Akwesasne trips for October thru December. Doesn’t appear we will be going to Montreal in 2021.

No confirmation as yet from Akwesasne for New Years 2022. With New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day falling on Friday/Saturday not sure what the decision will be. Sunday January 2nd????? Will keep you posted.

I value MOST of your opinions - honestly. So I will be watching for the decision. 🤔🤔🤔

Hello everyone,

Hope you have enjoyed the HOT weather (I LOVED IT) and now the COLD weather. That will be her to stay, all too soon.

Things are continuing to change on a daily basis.

Friday, we contacted Foxwoods to confirm our November trip. We promptly received a response stating they will not be taking any bus groups until 2022. They will provide us with the 2022 rates as soon as they are available. Thank goodness we reached out to them or we could have been on our way.

So we contacted Mohegan Sun, and received the same response this morning. They are taking daily buses but no overnight groups.

With a lot of regrets, we have to unfortunately cancel the November trip. Not a decision we wanted to make.

Going forward, we will be going to Saratoga racetrack and casino Wednesday August 18th, Mystery Lunch Wednesday August 25th, Akwesasne Sunday August 29th.

At this time, subject to change, our trip to Atlantic City September 7-10, is scheduled to go with a few seats and rooms available. Contact us if you would like to join us.

Also at this time we have booked another Rivers/Saratoga (and possibly change it to a 3 casino trip) in October. (Fingers crossed)

Montreal doesn’t seem a probability in 2021. So our infamous 3 casino trip will not go in 2021 either.

This has not been an easy year for any of us. We were hoping to continue our fun events with our Swans family. Miss seeing all of you and have enjoyed the ones we have.

Attaching the new Akwesasne flyer dates. Hope you will join us.

Also, Saratoga August 12th and Atlantic City September 7-10 are approaching quite rapidly. If you would like to join us on either of these trips, please let us know as soon as possible.

Schenectady 2 casino trip will be in October. If the border should open soon and the casinos allows buses we would like to go the first Sunday/Monday in December.

Not easy to plan anything.

I am not enjoying this COLD weather at all. 80 and above I can handle very nice.

Here is the latest for Akwesasne. Casino bonus always subject to change.

If you would like to join us on the one night, 2 casino trip - staying at Rivers stopping at Saratoga on Monday - July 11 & 12 (Sunday/Monday) please contact us.

Atlantic City (September) and Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun (November) trips are going very well.

The border, as we all know, is still not opened. What has been shared with us - we probably will not be going to Canada for a while. Our contacts at the casinos have no idea when they will be returning to work. Very sad situation that continues.

Good afternoon/evening everyone,

Hope you have all stayed cool today. Those of you who know me, the “hotter” the better for me.

Just want to share an update with you.

After a recent discussion and negotiation, we are lowering the price for the Akwesasne trips going forward.

Akwesasne will be giving a minimum $25 slot play and they are working to get you a food voucher.

Anyone who travelled with us on June 2nd, will go for $40 on your next trip refunding you the $5 difference.

Sorry for the confusion. We look forward to seeing you soon.
