We had such a great time at our September luncheon on Wednesday where Kristen Keltz from the Skagit County Tourism Bureau gave us some amazing insight into the State of Tourism in Skagit County. Thank you again to Community Action of Skagit County and Washington Vocational Services for sponsoring this month! Another big thank you to our caterer, Tacos Tecalitlan for the delicious taco bar!

National Hispanic Heritage Month started on September 15th. In Burlington, we celebrate and honor our Hispanic community by supporting local businesses and learning about their history.
We have a beautiful mural in Downtown Burlington on the east side of the Fairhaven Market. "Root to Rise" was painted in 2022 by Christen Mattix and shows five folklórico dancers of all ages to celebrate Mexican culture and dance.

From September 23rd to 29th, we are taking part in Diaper Awareness Week. Skagit County has a critical need for diapers and incontinence products. The Diaper Bank of Skagit County, which is run by the United Way of Skagit County is collecting the following items:
- New and opened packages of diapers (newborn to size 6 and pull-ups)
- Cloth diapers
- Wipes (unopened)
- Formula (unopened)
- Diaper cream (unopened)
- Adult incontinence products

We have set up a box in our Visitor Information Center. Please consider donating!

Bam! Pow! We had a super time last night at our Multi-Chamber After Hours hosted by Chinook Enterprises! Their work is nothing short of incredible. Thank you for the refreshments, the tour, and the masks and capes! It is always so great to connect with the other chambers in Skagit County.
