✨ There’s no place like home. ✨

The magic is returning to downtown Burnsville, North Carolina! Our beloved Wizard of Oz mural, originally painted by local artist Rhea Ormond in 2008, is nearing completion in its recreated form. This vibrant new version, also brought to life by Rhea Ormond, features Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Lion—and a few exciting surprises! Located at Academy Street and West Main Street, this mural is a colorful reminder of Burnsville's resilience and community spirit. We hope this joyful tribute to “home” lifts spirits as our community continues to recover.
