FINAL REMINDER!!! Perseid Meteor Shower Overnight! The Perseid meteor shower is one of the brightest meteor showers to occur in the Northern Hemisphere. Join us at GNC for a night of astronomy and star gazing, as we settle down and try to see as many meteors as we possibly can. While we wait, we will take the time to look for planets, constellations, galaxies and much more during the evening and early morning. Best viewing times for the meteors (2024) will be between 12:00 midnight and 2:00 a.m. Bring sleeping bags, air mattresses, reclining lawn chairs, a tarp (the grass will get wet), a tent, etc. and plan on spending the evening! Early morning viewing will be followed by a continental breakfast, featuring doughnuts, etc. The program will begin at 10:00 p.m. (Sunday, August 11th) and run through (Monday, August 12th at 7:00 a.m.). The current forecast is calling for clear to partly clear skies overnight. There will be plenty of room outside to spread-out and claim a spot on the lawn for the evening. Temperatures will be chilly this evening and into the early morning hours, so dress for the weather! Call us at 419-884-3764 for additional details.
