Welcome to Appalachian Comfort! Nestled on 7 private acres with a creekside trail and ample boat parking this true Appalachian escape is only minutes from Dale Hollow Lake and Lake Cumberland.
The home was completely remodeled in 2025 and offers two private bedrooms as well as a loft area with an additional full size and twin size bed. Though secluded it is still under five minutes to downtown Byrdstown for local dining and shopping and within walking distance to a public yet little known boat ramp and river access on the Wolf River/ Dale Hollow Lake.
This home is perfect for fishermen wanting quick and easy lake and river access and for families wanting a lake getaway. During the summer months bass boats, wave runners, small pontoons and run abouts will have no problem launching at the ramp just 2 minutes at the bottom of the hill. During low pool for the lake you can hike the riverbed on hundreds of acres of Corps of Engineer land that is free public use for fishing, boating, hunting and hiking.

You can hike the property and ride bikes or walk to the river access on the low traffic road just a few minutes to Against the Flow Outdoors for discounted Kayak Rentals, The River Grill for excellent dine in and carry out options and Legends Bait and Tackle shop to stock up on shiners and minnows. Less than 2 minute drive to the river and Hwy 111!

Snow on the Wolf this week!
We are open and ready to serve you for the 2025 season. Limited inventory but what’s left is on sale. Rentals are available year round. We will be focusing more on rentals and trips this year than sales. 2024 was an amazing year and we appreciate everyone’s support. We sold a lot of boats but unfortunately were left with quite a few at the end of the season. Going forward we plan to restock in the spring with a light selection of quality boats and can always pick up boats to order.

I am seeking someone to continue this business or rebrand it to your liking. Current inventory is 20 used rental kayaks, 7 used inflatable SUPS and 6 new retail kayaks. I would also like to include the Jeep and a small kayak trailer but am willing to separate it. The shop itself and land are not for sale. This is a great mobile business with a good seasonal cash flow. Unfortunately I had the shop closed more weekends than it was open this past summer and simply do not have the time to run it as it needs. We are looking to travel more as a family in the summers and we just don’t have the time to run the shop. If you think you may be interested feel free to message or call.
