Our Pledge as a Small Vegan Business
We are deeply troubled by the ongoing systemic discrimination, injustice, and violence that disproportionately affects marginalized communities. As a small vegan business, we understand that our work extends beyond providing plant-based products; it is about fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and inclusion.
In the face of harmful government policies, societal division, and the discrimination faced by immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and racial minorities, we pledge to take a stand against these injustices. We believe that the values we hold as a vegan business—empathy, equity, and kindness—must be reflected in our interactions and in the policies we support.
In recognition of our commitment to dismantling all forms of oppression, we, as a business, pledge to:
1. Oppose Discriminatory Government Policies: We will actively oppose any government policies or actions that harm immigrants, sow division between minority communities, or fuel discrimination against any individual based on race, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation. I’ve never been a believer of naming buildings after people still living. I still call DCA national airport. Not sure how this is gonna hold out. But we’ll find out.

The airport was named after John Foster Dulles when it opened in Northern Virginia in 1962.

I want to make very clear to my US clients and to my friends of what’s happening in the travel industry right now. If you have a transgender family member, you need to be very aware of what’s going to possibly happen in the coming months. I have touched base with some of my friends and clients.

When you have a client that goes away every Christmas and she loves Oceania Cruises. You just can’t take that smile off your face looking at the photos. However, things to happen and it’s really important to understand why things happen and how they happen. And why you need to Travel Agent. She was supposed to come home on Sunday and the flights were canceled due to the snowstorm. Today is Wednesday and she finally got home. What’s important is that we were there to help her all along the way. Just remember without a Travel Agent or on your own.

Friends,

I wanted to reach out personally to share some deeply difficult news. Over the past couple of months, I have been away from the office due to a profound family loss. My beloved sister passed away suddenly in late August, just three weeks after her diagnosis. It has been an unimaginably painful time.

During this heartbreaking experience, I was reminded of the precious and fleeting nature of life. My sister had always yearned to travel on her own, and she finally had that chance before she passed on.

I am grateful for your understanding and patience during this challenging time. Your continued trust and loyalty mean the world to me. I look forward to reconnecting with all of you and embarking on many more journeys that make a difference.

I had an incredible time at the Travel Forum trade show in Las Vegas last week. I spent over 10 hours a day meeting with vendors from all over the world including the Middle East, Egypt, Turkey, and Israel. It was fascinating learning about different destinations, new travel products and companies, and trends in the industry.

One of my favorite parts was networking and connecting in person with people I've known on social media for years but never met face-to-face. Putting faces to names and making meaningful connections reminded me how travel can bring people together. I met vendors with such diverse backgrounds and perspectives, yet we all share a common love for exploration, adventure, and providing transformational travel experiences for our clients.

I'm returning home with my heart full and head spinning with exciting new ideas, partnerships, and knowledge that I can put to work for my clients at Green Earth Travel. This conference reignited my passion for bringing people together through the power of travel. I truly believe opening your mind to new places and people can heal divisions and expand your worldview. I can't wait to plan more enriching, bridging adventures!
