Losing someone is hard, so hard. One of the toughest things, to me, is going through the ‘firsts’. Their first birthday, the first holiday, or in some cases, the first family tradition, without them. When I was asked to do this shoot my immediate answer was yes. I knew mom wanted smiles and laughter. While I knew part of the family, I was going to meet dad for the first time, and even though I wanted to do the shoot, I worried it might be a lot of tears. No worry needed.

There was laughter, lots of it. There was bantering back and forth, some in Italian and for all I know, could have been about me! (Dad insisted no, it was not! LOL!). As cliche’ as it sounds, I believe Domenico wanted them to carry on the tradition of doing a picture for their Christmas card. He was there with us that day. I felt him and it was obvious he was on everyone’s mind. It was an amazing time and I am so glad to have played a part.

Santa pictures are always a fun time for me! Little ones, the age I love. Seeing the excitement on their faces when they spot Santa sitting in that big chair! Telling him all about the one toy they want so bad! “Sneaking” an extra candy cane! Then there is this shot. Happens every time!! This sweet girl has absolutely no idea that 20 years from now her big brother will still pull this image out to torment her about it! 🤭 Let’s hope he goes easy on her! ❤️ Merry Christmas!

With fall coming to an end I am reflecting again on how busy this season is for me. It is my busiest and I am so grateful to all of my clients. I had said last year I was cutting back on my workload to allow myself more time to add some preschool work, which I did. I had such a great preschool season too!! I have not given up senior portrait work though as you will see by this video. I only cut back!!! I will be doing a limited amount next year as well, so as crazy as it seems, if you would like to be on my calendar with a 2026 senior please send me a message so I can add you to my list which has already started. No dates needed yet, just starting the list!! If we have already talked, please shoot me a short note again to make sure I didn't forget to add you!!

With that said, Congratulations to my Class of 2025 seniors! I enjoyed working with every single one of you, getting to know you more, hearing about your future plans, laughing, being silly with you! I wish all of you the very best! If you placed your order, please know I am working on them! I will be reaching out this week for yearbook submission choices too, so be prepared to hear from me! Caitlynn is a senior at Freeport and is on the cheer squad! She is one of the most chill seniors I have worked with, she is not a fan of the braces process though and we decided to do a few pics in the fall, then go back out in the spring after she is all done with them! Personally, I think she is cute as a button either way!! She hasn't decided what career path she might want to choose so she plans to start with Community College to get some classes under her belt while she goes through some decision making! C**t is a senior at Burrell and sort of closes out my 2025 year, there is a spring addition still to come! I remember when he was born, but never get to see him so it was a special shoot spending time with him. He has been going through a lot so we shot late, I'm sure he was not interested in reacquainting himself with me early in the morning, but we laughed. A lot. Let's just say his mom makes that easy for us!! He isn't sure what will come after graduation, but I always say there is no hurry, take your time and figure it out!! Dylan is a senior at St. Joseph and is a typical reason I love working with seniors. I have known him for 4 years, he was always one of the quiet ones. I was never sure if he got my sarcastic, dry humor or not! Working with him one on one let me see a different side and we laughed and had a really good time. It is nice to get to know the kids more when it is just them. He was a member of the soccer team and is also part of the basketball team! He plans to attend PennWest California to study Computer Science. Best of luck to you Dylan, I have no doubt you will do well!

Sal is a senior at Highlands this year. He has been involved with the baseball team, the golf team and the wrestling team, and I can honestly say he is one of the nicest guys at that school! I absolutely love my job there! As quiet as I always thought he was, I found out he has a little bit of a rebel streak in him when we did his pics, a rule breaker!!! (that shall remain between the two of us though!) He plans to start school at PSNK after high school beginning studies in engineering. Best of luck to you Sal, can't wait to see where life takes you!

Evan is a senior at Freeport and one of the best troopers I have had the pleasure of working with this senior season! The day we shot it was cold! In the one pic you can see the fog/steam on the river still. He never complained. I do think he would have preferred being in church where he is an altar server instead of spending his Sunday morning with me though!! He is an outdoor guy, into dirt bikes, quads and hunting and I think that comes through in some of his pics! His plans after high school are to go to college to study engineering. Sophie is a senior at St Joseph's and is also one of my favorite people on the planet! She is sweet and sassy, has a heart of gold and I just love being around her! We had a great time shooting her senior portraits, as I knew we would. The banter that goes back and forth between us is always a fun time! After she graduates from high school she will be attending Duquesne to study nursing. Perfect fit for her. Sophie, I have loved every single conversation and giggle we have ever shared and I wish you the absolute best! 💞
